I read somewhere that blogs could be roughly defined as an online personal journal. But that seems to me to be a bit of a contradiction in terms, since a personal journal doesn't really remain a "personal" journal, truly speaking, once it is made available for viewing online to any number of readers (both known as well as unknown).
Well, I'm still not really sure of my reason for blogging and am well aware that this new venture could easily fall flat on its face given my predilection for laziness and dormancy, but I'm looking at this blog as a chronicle of myself, a sort of almost universally accessible and not-so-personal diary which I am in no danger of misplacing or damaging while moving from one place to another.
